Consumer Jesus by Banksy
I watched the Oscar-nominated documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop last night and was fascinated by this growing barely-legal (underground?) culture. The creativity of street artists is incredible, but their ability to make you think, even question meaning (or lack thereof) is even greater.
I could have totally used this documentary as part of my research for one of my first Mass Comm papers at Cal about Shepard Fairey and his André the Giant pre-Obey campaign!
